The blue steel is a nice contrast against the silver inlay. This unusual mouthpiece will give better shoulder lift and lateral control. The control of this is in between a hinge port and a chain mouthpiece. It gives nearly the same stop as a hinge port will, but is kinder to the horse due to the lifesaver. The lifesaver gives tongue relief as well as a warning to the horse for better balance and improved comfort.
