Flynn's western department manager Jared Higginson died August 13, 2008 when a car hit his motorcycle head-on on Highway 44 west of Eagle.

Jared was a very well respected member of the local horse community. From galloping racehorses in his teens to training reiners later in life, the expertise he obtained combined with his honesty and integrity brought a large following of customers through the doors over the years. People trusted him and Jared did everything he could to make sure those seeking his advice were not lead astray. No matter if Jared was selling a saddle, training a horse, or teaching the Chickasaw Choctaw 4-H club his daughter is in, his advise was invaluable to those lucky enough to receive it.

Though an amazing horseman, Jared was an even better husband and father. His wife and children were always first priority. When he spoke of Dana, Will, Janey, Gracie, and Luke, it was with pride and love.

The tragic death of our dear friend has left a very large hole in all of our lives here at Flynn's. Jared was more than an employee, co-worker, or even a friend to us. He was family. It was an honor to have known and loved such a wonderful man.

SERVICES FOR JARED HIGGINSON
A viewing has been set for 6 p.m. Aug. 20 at the LDS chapel at Floating Feather Road and Park Lane in Eagle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 21 at the same chapel.

A fund has also been set up to help Jared's wife and children at Wells Fargo Bank. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo branch under the name of "Jared Higginson Memorial".
